Life ECOdigestion project aims to validate an innovative technology for the automatic dosage of organic wastes in WWTP anaerobic digesters. This technology will allow the optimization of biogas generation, renewable energy, in order to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through the recycling of food industry wastes.
Anaerobic co-digestion consists in the joint treatment of different organic wastes in order to achieve an optimal recovery of energy. The complexity of full scale implementation requires the deep study of both different types of co-substrates and doses.
The main objective of Life ECOdigestion is to maximize the potential of joint sewage sludge and different organic wastes co-digestion through the combination of experimental techniques and mathematical tools.
